Waikhom Bhumeswar Singh is a retired Senior Public Prosecutor, legal scholar, and author from Manipur, India, with a lifelong commitment to public service, spiritual research, and social development. Born in 1949, he began his career in law after earning his degrees from Guwahati and Lucknow Universities and went on to serve in prestigious roles including Public Prosecutor for the CBI (Northeast). After his voluntary retirement in 1999, he dedicated himself to researching the spiritual and scientific principles of life, focusing on the cosmic relationship between the Earth, Moon, and Sun, and their influence on human existence. He has authored several books exploring these themes and actively promotes environmental awareness, moral education, and community welfare. As a social worker and leader, he has contributed through roles in the Indo-Japan Friendship International Organization and Lions Clubs International. His work continues to inspire future generations through his books, public talks, and social initiatives.

Career

  • Practiced law in Guwahati High Court (1975–79)
  • Appointed Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) by Manipur PSC in 1979 (in upgraded scale)
  • Appointed by UPSC as Public Prosecutor in CBI for Northeast India (1984)
  • Promoted to Senior Public Prosecutor in 1991
  • Repatriated to Manipur state service; after legal battle, received upgraded scale and was promoted to Additional Public Prosecutor cum Government Advocate (1991–1999)
  • Voluntary retirement in 1999 to pursue spiritual and scientific research

Bhumeswar Singh’s life work is grounded in the spiritual and scientific principles governing human life, the environment, and the cosmos:

  • Advocates a unified view of life, spirituality, and science, connecting human suffering and morality to cosmic cycles (Sun, Moon, Earth).
  • Believes humankind’s role is divine — to rule and care for other life forms, and suffering stems from disobedience to this divine system.
  • Connects human life cycles to solar/lunar cycles, solstices/equinoxes, leap years, and planetary motion.
  • Emphasizes moral duty, family education, and alignment with natural law for eradicating poverty and suffering.
  • Promotes a life philosophy rooted in divine principles of creation, Earth-Moon relationships, and human reproduction.
